On April 30, the US Postal Service will issue a new 44–cent, Animal Rescue: Adopt a Shelter Pet special stamp to help raise awareness of the need to adopt shelter pets.
During the launch of the stamps, Ellen DeGeneres and Halo: Purely for Pets will be supplying food to 1 million shelter pets at shelters around the country.
