Happy Retales Announces Support of Six Rescues in 2014

Happy Retales Pet Supply and More, a pet retail and grooming shop in Brentwood, TN, was founded eight years ago with the mission of providing funds for animal rescue and adoption. In fact, 100% of the store's profits are donated to animal rescue.

In 2014, the store is expanding their support to new organizations to spread the love further than ever before.

The partnered organizations will each receive support, promotion and a guaranteed monthly donation. In return, each rescue will promote Happy Retales events and provide volunteers to work in the store.

Happy Retales has chosen six local rescues to work with in 2014: Agape Animal Rescue, Crossroads Campus, Middle Tennessee Boxer Rescue, Middle Tennessee Golden Retriever Rescue, Snooty Giggles and Westie Rescue of Tennessee.

In addition, Happy Retales will work with the Pet Community Center to support their new spay and neuter clinic in Nashville.

The mission of Happy Retales is to promote the rescues and their causes, educate the public and provide financial support to Middle Tennessee Animal rescues and spay/neuter programs. The specialty dog & cat supply store features high quality foods & supplies, clothing for pets & people, unique gift items for pet lovers, a full-service grooming facility and a Self-Service dog wash.

The founder of Happy Retales was inspired by a unique idea: to create a business whose profits go to local animal rescues. Sales associates are comprised of a volunteer staff headed up by the store's General Manager, Kimberly Kelly-Thompson.

“I am thrilled that Happy Retales has been able to grow in the last eight years to help several rescues in the Middle Tennessee area fulfill their missions to find wonderful, forever homes for four-legged babies,” says Thompson.  “Not only are we able to support rescue efforts, but Happy Retales is also steadfast in our devotion to assist Spay/Neuter programs to make them accessible to all.  Adoption alone will not help in the animal rescue efforts; we must also educate the public on the need to spay and neuter their pets.”

Thompson says that not only is the shop partnering with six fantastic 501c3 animal rescues, but they are also working with several local rescues to sponsor and promote Meet & Greet adoption events in the store. These intend to promote attention to the special needs of these groups, which support animal welfare and assist families in need with pets.
