New PUP Bag Stations Ribbon Cutting
in Germantown
April 13th from 10-12N | Morgan Park

A special Spring event celebrating our new Historic Germantown PUP Bag Stations & Crossroad’s Pets - Shop & Adopt.

While METRO has historically positioned stations in local parks, not all are replenished with bags, on a regular basis.  Such is the case in Morgan Park.

With Germantown growing in dog-loving residents, the Historic Germantown Neighborhood Board (HGN) decided to partner with Vista Germantown Apartments – one of many Associated Estates communities throughout the US – to install & stock stations with biodegradable bags that can be dropped in nearby trash bins or flushed down the commode.

One of the first neighborhood bag stations for pet waste in Davidson County, we are proud to be helping protect our waterways from EColi; the prime source, which is dog feces that seeps into the soil & down into our water.

This will be a celebration of like-minded individuals, who are working to make our community one of the best in Nashville.

Festivities include ribbon cutting by Emmylou Harris, a long-standing animal-rights champion, local vendors Crossroads Pet Shop & Adopt, Red Rover, PAWS Magazines, free giveaways, a treasure hunt & food by Riff’s Fine Street Food truck, plus a pet adoption event from 11 am to 3 PM, just around the corner at the Crossroad’s Pets - Shop & Adopt location at 707 Monroe St.  The adoption event a collaboration among the North Shore Animals League, Bonaparte’s Retreat, Noah’s Ark Society, Crossroads Campus and Historic Germantown and will feature adoptable animals from Metro Animal Care and Control, Nashville Humane Association and a number of community rescue groups.
