Meet the Staff

Heather Davis
Publisher & Editor

Magazine founder and publisher Heather Davis has worked as a professional writer and editor for nearly a decade. Her freelance work regularly appears in national pet magazines such as Animal Fair and Fido Friendly, as well as in a number of travel and lifestyle magazines. Her work is also featured in the hardback coffee table book, "Little Dogs: A Love Story", published by Hodder in 2006. In addition, she has served as a judge for the National Young Authors Writing Competition, as well as an editor and contributor to the award-winning literary anthology, Hair Trigger 27, which was published in May 2005. She is currently working on a memoir as well as her first novel.

Heather's past experience with animals has included working as a veterinary technician, pet sitter and a fundraiser and volunteer for various animal shelters. She is deeply involved in the animal welfare community and is grateful to share her life with her furbabies: Shelby (a German Shepherd / Collie mix, pictured above), Molly (a Chow Chow / Keeshund mix) and Smokey, a gray Domestic Longhair.

Julie Bredesen
Graphic Designer

We are fortunate to have the most awesome graphic designer in Music City! Julie is not only insanely talented and creative, but she's also a huge animal lover who is dedicated to our mission of serving as a voice for animals throughout Middle Tennessee and beyond. In addition to graphic art, Julie (AKA Slugs Bunny) enjoys slamming into and rolling over other derby skaters as a member of the Nashville Roller Girls. (She may look sweet, but she sure can skate mean!)

Tanya Willis
Advertising Account Manager

Tanya may be new to the NashvillePAW team, but she's not new to the animal welfare community! In addition to coming on board as a new account manager, Tanya is also the co-founder and director of Agape Animal Rescue and serves on the board of directors for Therapy ARC. Through Therapy ARC, she visits special needs children with her Delta certified therapy dog, Mack. Tanya's dedication, enthusiasm and passion for animals are greatly appreciated here at NashvillePAW, and we are very excited and proud to have her on our team! For information on Agape Animal Rescue, please visit their website at www.AgapeRescue.org.

Gina Farrar
Advertising Account Manager

Also new to the NashvillePAW team is Gina, our second account manager. A longtime animal lover and freelance sales consultant, we are happy to welcome her talents, enthusiasm and experience! In addition to her freelance work, Gina serves as the fundraising coordinator for the biannual TACA arts festival. She shares her East Nashville home with her husband, two beautiful children and their canine companion.
