Contest judges Dr. Napier, Heather Dowdy, Christine Gibson and Stephanie McKee look on as a contest entrant struts their stuff in front of the packed crowd.

The weather was perfect for a fun and festive fall carnival, and thanks to more than 50 vendors, 5 food trucks, many sponsors, volunteers and about 3,000 guests, Barktoberfest 2012 was our biggest and best event we've EVER hosted!

Guests enjoyed free "paw readings" and treats from Madame Clairyoya at our Fido + the Fortune Teller booth (pictured below, using the ultra-adorable Dog Tarot cards!), while kids played our free carnival games for fun Halloween prizes.

Meanwhile, guests chowed down on delish noms from The Grilled Cheeserie, Terra Delicious, Yay's OMG, Sum Yum Yum and Brewster's Ice Cream while grooving to the sounds of live music from Eight O' Five Jiveand Duncan May + the Resonators. And business was bustling at our cover set photo booth with Brix Nobody and Amiee Stubbs Photography as well as at over 50 vendor booths all day long!

Madame Clairvoya (volunteer Marly Richardson) gave free paw reading and treats to pooch pals at our mysterious Fido + the Fortune Teller tent.

Nashville PITTIE shared love and awareness for our bully friends with a Pittie Pride Parade and Luv-A-Bull booth.

Then, hundreds of costumed dogs and their people strutted their stuff in our Howl-O-Ween Costume Contests. It was so hard to choose from so many incredivle entries, but our judges finally narrowed it down and a total of 14 costume winners took home more than $3,000 in fabulous prizes!
